Membership

Membership fees for 2023-24 are:

Adult membership: £25

Membership Renewals are due on 1 November.

With membership you can borrow club equipment to use during club events and outings at sea or on rivers. A donation of £10 towards wear and tear is payable. All kit is to be returned cleaned (in freshwater if the kit has been out to sea) to the place you picked the kit up from. A borrowed boat comes with paddle, spraydeck, pump and paddle float. All items to be returned in the hatch of the boat. We also have buoyancy aids in most sizes and a small number of cagoules and neoprene long johns.

Members also have access to the 'members only' MCKC Facebook page where club outings on river or sea are posted.

Members also automatically become associate members of Paddle Scotland (PS), but the club now also requires all members to take out full individual PS membership to take part in activities (see below**).

Members are eligible to attend the Moray Leisure
Centre pool sessions (cost £10 per session).
Numbers are limited to ensure space for effective instruction. Members can book sessions by checking for availability on the Members only

A Membership Form needs to be completed as well as membership fee paid to become a member of the club.

** LIABILITY INSURANCE

As club activities are run on a peer paddle basis, the club committee has looked carefully at our current position and agreed that we will require club members to become individual members of Paddle Scotland in order to take part in club activities and trips. Affiliated Membership does not provide cover for peer paddle activities.

Individual (or family) membership provides individual cover worldwide up to 10 million pounds sterling. Full details are available on the Paddle Scotland website. Individual membership is £42 or £28 for recreational membership. We have adjusted the membership fees to take this into account.
